Dave
Burke has been exhibiting paintings since 1994 in galleries in New York,
San Diego, Los Angeles, Seattle, Texas and Melbourne Australia. Much of
DB's Monster Art merchandise is found in Japan where his horrific and humerous creations are ever
gaining popularity.
Self-taught
DB has created cover paintings for Big Daddy Roth's Rat Fink Comix, crazed
surf images for Slap-On Art Decals, a movie poster for indie film
"Lucinda's Spell", and has exhibited "big eyed"
monster paintings along side Margaret Keane's originals in a Laguna Art
Museum retrospective of Keanabilia kitch.
DB is also
known for his unique "Foot Art". His "G-rated",
realistic
renderings of women's feet and shoes have found an audience and have
appeared in magazines including Leg Show, Beautiful Bare Feet and Dirty as
part of artistic editorials.
