Stacy Lande is a longtime stalwart of the Silver Lake art and performance scene which provides the inspiration and characters for her stunning portraits. Her paintings are noted for their many layers of paint, executed in an Old Master style, to which she has affixed rhinestones, sequins and glitter to create multidimensional canvases. The paintings themselves are housed in cast-off door and window frames painted gold, adding a further dimensional element.
